Selection Process
- Computer Based Written Exam (CBT).
- Physical Fitness Test (PFT).
- Document Verification.
- Medical Examination.
Clearance in each stage is mandatory to move to next stage.
Exam Pattern & Syllabus
NAVIK (GD):
- Section I (Class 10 Level)- Maths. Science, English, Reasoning, GK-60 marks, 45 mins.
- Section II (Class 12 Level)- Physics & Maths- 50 marks, 30 mins.
NAVIK(DB):
- Only Section I- 60 marks, 45 mins.
No Negative Marking.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
- 1.6 km run (to be completed in under 7 minutes).
- 20 Squat-ups.
- 10 Push-ups.
There are qualifying standars, meaning you must meet them to proceed.
Medical & Physical Requirements
- Hieght- Minimum 157cm.
- Chest- Well-proportioned with > 5cm expansion.
- Weight- Proportional to height (+10% tolerance)
- Vision- Normal (Bare Eyes 6/6 right, 6/9 left; no glasses allowed)
- Other- No disqualifying tattoos; good hearing.
Initial Screening at centres, final medical at INS CHILKA for Naviks.
Training & Appointment
Successful candidates join enrolled personnel and undergo basic training at INS CHILKA , Odisha.
- Phase I (GD/DB) & Phase I (YANTRIK) training begins separately.
- Final Merit List released post training.
Pay Scale & Benefits
- Entry-Level Pay: Level 3 (21,700rs Basic)
- In-hand Salary: 30,000-45,000rs/ Month depending on allowances & posting.
